The Haiti Soccer Project, Inc. is a US based non profit organization, dedicated to the promotion of organized youth soccer in Haiti. Soccer is a passion in Haiti. Most Haitian children love the game. They kick just about anything that resembles a soccer ball. It is everywhere, but despite having the desire to play the game; most children are not able to participate in organized leagues with the proper equipment. Very few have the opportunity to truly learn the game and play competitively. Even basic equipment such as soccer balls, cleats, and uniforms are not accessible for most children who wish to play.

Haiti Soccer Project, Inc.’s goal is to alleviate these problems and give the children who wish to play soccer an opportunity to do so. The organization distributes soccer gear: clothes and uniforms, shin guards, cleats, soccer balls, goals, and other items that make playing a normal game possible.

The mission of the organization is to have as many Haitian youngsters in Haiti playing soccer in an organized fashion at a very young age.

Recreation is at the core of this effort. Participants are off of the streets. Under the supervision of parents and many volunteers, this project provides children an opportunity to take part in organized recreational activities and utilize their time in a productive way.

This project, thru soccer, offers unique opportunities to promote health, tolerance, teamwork, fair play, cooperation and unity. Soccer is a vehicle to reinforce/promote family and societal values.

Because there are very few programs of this nature operating in the United States, especially assisting children in remote parts of Haiti, we felt compelled to start helping these children pursue their dreams of playing a real game of soccer. The organization has been received tremendously by our local community in Long Island, and parts of New York City, we have been contacted by organizations, and countless individuals from many places inquiring as to how to make donations and assist.
